Third accused in London explosives investigation to apply for bail

London Free Press, 2026

The London Free Press reported that a third person charged in the Chesham Place investigation was scheduled to bring an application for bail, the latest step in a series of bail proceedings arising from the case.

In Ontario, each co-accused brings their own bail application; the court considers each person's circumstances individually, including any proposed plan of release and sureties.

The matter stems from a January 24, 2026 investigation by London Police that began with an overnight trespassing call at Western University and led officers to a home on Chesham Place in London's University Heights neighbourhood. Four people were charged; everyone charged is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
